Ages Apart  AgesApart is a rock band with influences from a wide range of musical genres. The group fuses the sounds of classic and alternative rock and roll with funk and blues in a refreshing style that is uniquely their own. With powerful melodies, distinctive harmonies, an incredible rhythm section, and an unusual blend of acoustic and electric guitars, AgesApart brings a sound to the musical stage that sets them apart from other regional acts in the southeast.
The band formed in August of 2006 after an exhaustive personnel search by lead singer Cody Webb. After his introduction to drummer Chris Srygley, he auditioned a number of potential bassists until finding Marcus Chapman. The synergy between Marcus's funk rock bass licks and Chris's powerful metal drum beats quickly cemented the relationship. Combining this with melodic guitar licks, emotional lyrics, and a unique voice; this is a sound that you have to hear! After several months of extreme studio rehearsal, the band debuted on December 3, 2006 at the Workplay Theater in Birmingham, AL. They followed up the very successful Workplay show with performances in both Birmingham and Montgomery, and then set their sights on expanding to other locales. Cody - Vocals / Guitar Raised in one of the greatest music hotbeds in the world, the Shoals area of North Alabama, Cody grew up around great musicians. Inspired by them, Cody began playing guitar at age 8. By the age of 11, Cody had developed his distinctive rock/blues sound. He began sitting in with local bands by the age of 12, and recorded his first demo at age 13. Less than a year later, Cody purchased his own studio equipment and self-produced his first full length, 14 track CD. He then began performing to promote his self-titled CD and immediately began working on music for his follow-up album. Cody then moved to Tuscaloosa to attend the University of Alabama at age 17. While in college, he continued to write music and released the 20 track CD "As It Seems" in 2004. He continues to write great music today, even while working toward his college degree and performing as the lead singer and guitar player of AgesApart. Cody's musical influences include Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Guns N' Roses, ShineDown, and Sister Hazel. Marcus - Bass From a very young age, Marcus was fascinated with the sounds of all types of music, and realized that music was in his heart and soul. At the age of 6, he began learning the basics of guitar from his father. The bass guitar came very naturally to him, and he had a wonderful talent and a sound all his own. As a teen, Marcus played school events, dances, and joined fellow band mates to perform at officer's clubs, skating rinks, and private parties. At the age of 15, Marcus had the opportunity to tour Europe, performing, recording, and filming the tour. Marcus began performing professionally in 1967, performing with various artists and groups along the east coast as both a touring and session musician. He received an endorsement in 1997 with Warrior Instruments and designed his own bass strings, "Energetics." After a 39 year career, Marcus still plays with a drive and enthusiasm that excites the crowds that are fortunate enough to see him. He joined AgesApart in the summer of 2006, and continues to write and perform with the mindset that every show is the most important of his life. Marcus's influences include Tower of Power, Spyro Gyra, and Stanley Clark. Chris - Drums Chris grew up in Helena, AL. He began studying music at the age of 7, and was first introduced to drums at age 11. He has been heavily involved in the music industry, beginning in 1999 as "Frog" on WRLR radio in Birmingham. He has since continued to work for various radio stations in the Birmingham and Huntsville markets. Chris played in the band "Homemade Crazy" from 2001 until he chose to pursue his radio career more seriously in 2003. Chris met Cody in March of 2006, and the two musicians decided to form a serious rock and roll group. Since that time, Chris has continued to work in radio in the Birmingham area while rehearsing and pursuing his career as the drummer for AgesApart. Chris's musical influences include Rush, Metallica, 311, and Dave Weckel, among many others.

Cover Story is a classic rock, dance, variety, five piece band consisting of guitar, bass, drums, and keyboards. All five members (4 males and 1 females) sing lead as well as background vocals. Our Keyboardist doubles on trumpet and acoustic guitar, and our female doubles on keys and saxaphone. All members, except our drummer, are wireless, allowing them to interact and engage the crowd, bring the show to them, and make them part of it. Cover Story's goals are to play for an average of two to three weekends a month. In addition, we rehearse three to four times a month. We add at least two to four songs every month, keeping the band fresh, and with the depth of our present song list, we vary our show each evening. We play a variety of material, and are able to please a wide range of crowds. NOTE: In February of 2005, Cyclone broke up due to many grevious circumstances. Rudy and Solomon went off to start a new band. Five - Car Garage  ... And who ever said kids couldn't rock? The rock/ alternative band hailing from Long Beach, CA, are taking on the challenge of creating a band and actually getting into it. Many upcoming singles to be released when the bands journey to rock begins is keeping many fans in a hunger for their new songs.
The band is made of five kids, as said by the title "Five - Car Garage:" Austin Padilla, 11, is the lead singer and overall leader of the group, as said by other band mates. He is also the oldest in the group. Carl Hatch, 10, is a singer as well, and is the youngest in the group, but, true as this may be, he carries a powerful voice that will take many by surprise. Chris Baker, 10, is the lead guitarist of the group, though suspicions have it that other band mates are learning to play guitar for a side guitarist. He is probably the most hyper kid in the group. Tyler Cleveland, 10, is the pianist of the group, and is also quite hyper at times as well. He loves cracking jokes during practice, or anywhere else for that matter. Alex Derrick, 11, is the drummer of the group and has two brothers, which keeps him used to having craziness at practice. Though not the most organized, he sometimes has to have thing orderly, which is a good thing for a band of five fifth graders. The band is going to start selling tickets and preforming concerts as soon as their first album is released, they have said. They have many ideas for songs already, even though they've been a band for a short period of time. "We've been waiting for a chance like this for a while," Austin has said,"With all of the publicity and everything, it's the biggest thing in the world. I couldn't ask for anything more."
