4 Wheel Drive was considered one of the hottest shows around! This popular cover band out of Staunton, Illinois rocked the metro east area for over 7 years from 2002 to 2009. Performances included towns like Litchfield, Gillespie, Edwardsville and Collinsville with many venues and private functions added all the time. The professional 4-member group consisting of husband and wife team Dave “Slick” Martintoni on guitar and vocals, Tammy Martintoni on bass guitar and lead vocals, joined forces with their son Mike Martintoni on drums and Gene Lilly on Guitar, Vocals and Keyboards as most cover bands do... in the basement. In the end after Mike and Gene departed, the linup was; Edwardsville’s Steve McCormick on drums and percussion, and the last addition of "Sparky" Mark Potillo from Granite City on lead guitar and vocals. 4 Wheel Drive performed songs from today, back through the 90's, 80's, 70's and some off the beaten path. They took great pride in surprising folks with a show that went beyond the basic bar fare. Through their live and energetic shows, they continued to keep people coming back for more with an unmistakable song list covering artists like Pat Benetar, Scandal, Joan Jett, Melissa Ethridge, Lita Ford, Heart, Pink, Journey, Janis Joplin, Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty just to name a few, with the equipment that not many cover bands of today can claim to have let alone even use.
